You read that right! We have been included in a board game called See It Be It Deaf Jobs, based in the UK, for kids learning about jobs they can do too!

I had seen an ad in Limping Chicken, a UK Deaf newspaper, asking for Deaf businesses owners to apply to be part of this game. I went ahead and applied. I wasn't sure if this was for Deaf businesses based in the UK only or not so I made sure to let them know my location. They gladly accepted my application. Within six months they let me know that I am in! Recently, they sent an email saying that the game has been distributed to many schools throughout the UK already and is now on Etsy for anyone to buy! WHOA! DOPE, right!? Will have to save up to buy mine since shipping is over $50! Yikes, but I will make sure to buy one!

See It Be It Game

There is still room to join us on August 1st at the Table Public House for our first Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar workshop. Hope to see you there! I am so excited to go shopping for this class!

August is fast approaching! Besides the Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar worshop. We also have a virtual class on the 29th. No Bake Peanut Butter Chocoalte Bars! I actually hate the smell of peanut butter, so I like to use WOW butter or almond butter. These taste amazing with whatever kind of "butter" you use.

I typically end my catering jobs at the end of August. I will take special requests but not many. Chef Zetta is another Deaf baker based in Loveland if you ever need baked goods during the school year.

I could use your help! I need ideas for my YouTube channel. Lately, I've been focusing on shorts - Things I Wish Hearing People Would Stop Saying/Doing and Happy Friday videos. What other topics do you think I should do? Whether shorts or long form videos. Should I do something related to Deaf life? More of my favorite baking recipes? Other ideas? Reply to this email with your thoughts!

The ASL 101 class is officially open for registrations! September 23 - August 27th at Colorado Community Church.

Lighting is important to consider when conversing with a Deaf person either speaking or signing.

The survey has been extended to August 7th! Fill it out to be automatically entered into a raffle to win a free ticket to either a virtual OR in person class!

It's a Great Day to be Deaf!
I wish you all could have been at the Forrest Frank concert on Monday night in Denver! I couldn't have asked for a better night with better people. When we arrived, we were told to go to a suite instead of a seat. We knew it was going to be a suite, but we were not expecting a SUITE! Meaning center view, no obstructions, two ASL interpreters, free food, water and a room full of Deafies looking ...
Deaf Events > Hearing Events
If you have a choice between going to a regular event (maybe one that isn't interpreted) vs a Deaf event. Which one would you choose? If it's interpreted, then that would be a harder decision. BUT I'd rather spend time with my Deafies than random hearing people. On that note, there are so many events coming up, it's insane. Yes, it's concert season AND festival season, so that's probably why.ย  ...
New Baking Classes Scheduled!
Have you taken a look at the 2026 ASL Baking Class Schedule yet to see what we have in store from August through December? No!? ย Check it out! Our next in-person workshop is coming up soon! People have already signed up and I am so excited! If you are dairy-free and/or gluten-free, come join us! I will have ingredients you can use to build your own cheesecake jar!
