Baking Class ScheduleI'M RUTH.
Most would describe me as sassy hence the name The Sassy Baker, but I am also a creative writer, penguin lover and obsessed with making unique desserts.
The world we live in offers convivence over health. I'm here to encourage you to take control over what you eat. Graduate from box mixes and learn how to make something from scratch! If you have allergies, you don't have to second guess whether you can eat it. You know you can!
Join me on a journey of self-discovery - YOU CAN BAKE FROM SCRATCH!
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN.
Step by step instructions making a delicious treat you can share...or not! This class is designed for Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people for ages 12 and up. While whatever we are baking, you will have the chance to learn some related ASL signs!
Instruction in ASL with a voice interpreter
The entire class will be in ASL. Every class has a voice interpreter for those who aren't fluent. Feel free to ask questions in ASL or English.
For those who are learning ASL, I will teach some basic signs related to baking.
Take Home Goodies
Learn how to make something delicious and take home some to share or not. We will have time to chat and eat together at the end of class. This is also a great opportunity to get to know your classmates and ask The Sassy Baker any questions.
Have Fun!
Learn how to bake something new FROM SCRATCH! Before you head out, you will receive a printed recipe card, so you can make them again.
All classes include: ingredients and tools including a printed recipe card at the end of class. Students will be learning tips and tricks for baking at home in high altitude.
