Live Baking Class - New Sass on the Block
On November 12th, 7 - 8:30 pm MST, let's learn how to make Apple Cider Cookies and some baking signs in ASL! Join us! ASL interpreter provided.
You will have access to New Sass on the Block for two days beginning the morning of November 12th to the evening of the 13th.
If you have gluten or dairy allergies, I've listed alternatives below.
Ingredients you need:
Flour (1:1 Bob's Red Mill, 1:1 Gluten Free King Arthur, Trader Joe's 1:1 Gluten Free)
Baking Powder
Baking Soda
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Salt
Two sticks of butter/ 1 cup (Country Crock Plant Butter, VioLife, Miyoko's, Ghee)
White sugar (Turbino, Coconut, Sugar in the Raw, Pure Cane Sugar - better alternatives to Refined White Sugar)
Brown sugar (light or dark)
1 egg
Apple Cider (I like HoneyCrisp Apple Cider but choose whatever brand/type you prefer)
1 apple to cut (Honeycrisp, Cortland, and Pink Lady are the best. If you prefer a tart apple, get Granny Smith).
Icing (optional)
Powdered Sugar
Apple cider
Cinnamon
Tools you need:
Two bowls
A mixer (you will need to cream the butters and sugar so a mixer will be extremely helpful!)
Cookie Sheets
Parchment Paper or Silicone Mats
