Summer Is For Trying New Recipes!

Guess what?! I made macarons again and this time they came out better! Loooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Still need to work on my pipping skills and need to remember NOT to put the entire batter in one pipping bag. Live and learn, right! I used a cream cheese filling. A friend of mine, who is also a Deaf baker, recomended I try her white chocolate ganache next time. OOOOHHHHH! Can't wait!

I also experimented with different cheesecake jar creations.

Used gluten-free peanut butter chocolate wafers, blueberries, strawberries, peaches, vanilla wafers, graham crackers and of course whipped cream! It was soooooo good! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I have been busy setting up the virtual ASL baking classes this week. I added the August 29th No bake peanut butter chocolate bar class. Next will be the Samoas Brownies in September! I have been experimenting with this recipe because I miss eating Girl Scout cookies. I know they have  gluten-free one but it's not worth $9 a box, in my opinion. Samoas were one of my favorites so I just had to figure out how to have it again. And why not turn it into a brownie? Half of these were gone the day after! It's safe to say that I should teach my sassy bakers how to make them!

Another video in the series of "Things I Wish Hearing People Would Stop Saying" though I have been adding some "Doings" to the list too!

This one is about when hearing people interrupt a Deaf conversation to show someone they can sign the ABCs or try to introduce themselves. There is a time and place to practice your ASL. In public... is not one of them.

Don't Interrupt Our Conversations! #asl #deafcreatorcontent

June went by so fast, but I have been enjoying the slower pace. I have been teaching an adult ASL class at my church and it's a fun group. Full of questions and most of them practice on their own during class! It's amazing to see how eager they are to learn and willing to put in the work.

As a reminder, please fill out this short survey! It will help me create the classes and workshops YOU want to be involved in! If you include your name, you will be automatically entered to win a free virtual or in person class of your choice!

Bakers gonna bake, and haters gonna hateโ€”letโ€™s rise above!

Happy Baking!

It's Officially Summer!
We had our last ASL baking class two weeks ago and whew, I need a break! It will be fun focusing on experimenting in the kitchen again. Will definitely make cinnamon rolls and macarons and hopefully the macarons turn out better this time around. We'll see! To kick off our next season of baking classes, we are hosting a Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar workshop on August 1st from 1 - 2:30 pm at Th...
Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar Workshop
I found a venue! I think you're going to love it! We are hosting this workshop on August 1st from 1 to 2:30 pm at The Table Public House. I am stoked! This is going to be a blast! There are three ticket types: $30 for those who want to bring their own jars; $40 for those who want a sassy-provided jar; and $100 for a family/group of 4 who bring their own jars. Disclaimer: I do have to wait until...
I'm BACK!
Thanks for hanging in there with me! I was in CT last week visiting with my parents and my sister. After 8 years apart, we finally got to hang out! At the end of my trip, I also got the chance to go to New England's Deaf Expo! So overwhelming. When there are a lot of people, I tend to get nervous and anxious. My mom graciously came with me even though she has NOT been practicing her ASL. Once I...
