T Minus 4 Days Until The Sassy Baker is at Kissfist!

Sunday only, The Sassy Baker will be selling Oreo Blondies, Chai Bars, Samoas Brownies and Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Bars! All dairy free! For those with gluten sentivities, I will have Oreo and Chai Bars, also gluten free. My kitchen IS NOT celiac safe. Sorry!
I'm so happy that a new friend offered her expertise and time to help me with this market on Sunday. She used to sell baked goods at farmer's markets. I don't think I will ever do that (I say that now...) because there are just so many hearing people talking. Using my ears gets more exhausting as I get older. I'd rather just sign. Who knows, maybe I will try someday with a partner.
Feel free to check out the festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday! The artists will be busy at work but anyone can watch their progress. On Saturday, there is a spraypaint workshop. Sad I will miss it but I am excited to see Pricilla Shirer LIVE for the first time! I've only watched her podcasts, short videos on Facebook or been a part of the Women's Going Beyond Simulcast events. She is such a role model. Her brother Anthony, who is a singer, will be there too. Not a fan of bald men but he is a great songwriter! HAHA He also read a book that changed the way I viewed my upbringing, Unexpected Places. I highly recommend it.

So many delicious virtual ASL baking classes coming up! I hope you can join us for one or two of them!
Last weekend, I went looking for Blood Oranges at Trader Joe's and they don't have them yet! AHHHHH! I will be testing my blood orange chai cake recipe soon for Bake Fest and need my blood oranges!!!! Will try again on Monday. I'm so nervous but ecstatic!!!! Will be taking some to school too and see if my coworkers like it.
Btw, I'm playing around with an idea for something in-person in December...stay tuned :)

"I'm in a serious relationship with my stand-up mixer". Seriously though... that's my life right now. SO many catering orders this month and now getting ready for Kissfist. October shouldn't be too busy after Bake Fest. I say that now...
Happy Baking!
