I'm BACK!
Thanks for hanging in there with me! I was in CT last week visiting with my parents and my sister. After 8 years apart, we finally got to hang out! At the end of my trip, I also got the chance to go to New England's Deaf Expo! So overwhelming. When there are a lot of people, I tend to get nervous and anxious. My mom graciously came with me even though she has NOT been practicing her ASL. Once I left home, she hadn't really kept up with it. I applaud her for putting herself out there!
I bought some gifts for my mom and my sister's kids. I also bought a book called When the Warning Comes I Move! by John Turner. My mom and I chatted with him for a few minutes about his life story, his book, and where he came from. Turns out, he grew up not far from where my mom did! AND I also learned the sign for Cambridge! I didn't know there was a sign. Overall, it was a great time hanging out with my mom and seeing all the cool Deaf- and ASL-friendly businesses on the East Coast.

Our final virtual class for this half of the year is coming up soon! June 13th from 2 - 4 pm MT. We are making Zucchini Bread! There is still time to sign up, and don't forget to use your special coupon code (below). You can add raisons, chocolate chips, cranberries, nuts - whatever floats your boat. As always, there will be an English-speaking interpreter present. My interpreters will be meeting soon to discuss August through December dates. Can't wait to show you the schedule!
