Bake it with Sass is Turning 3!

I still can't believe it's been three years! So many challenges but also so many blessings. From entering my first pitch contest in 2023 to graduating from E for All to successfully pulling off our first in-person ASL baking class to meeting so many awesome sassy bakers along the way, it's been an amazing journey so far. I have so many goals and organizations I want to partner with moving forward. As my mentor said, "For a go-getter like yourself, it's not surprising you have so much you want to do." Sometimes I wonder if I am insane. Deep down, I know I am not insane but there are days where I'd rather just binge watch The Equalizer than design a flyer or caption a video. One of these days, I'd love to hire someone to do those things but until then, I gotta put on my Let's Get This Done hat!
If you don't already know, our anniversary party is coming up fast! On April 18th from 4 - 5:30 pm MT, we will be learning how to bake The Sassy Baker's Lemonade Cupcakes from scratch! Say good-bye to your box mixes! It's an easy recipe so we will probably be done by 5 but if you want to pipe buttercream frosting with me, stick around! Only $20 per device. So gather your friends and family and party with The Sassy Baker!
Our Honey and Lavender Scones class is filling up faster than I thought it would. Only 4 tickets left so if you want to come, better sign up now! We are meeting in 5 Points at The Flour Shop from 4 - 6pm. If you have any allergies, please respond to this email and I will do my best to accommodate. I am gluten and dairy free so those are easy but if it's something else, I may ask for a $5 fee to help cover extra costs. This event is for ages 12+. Those between the ages of 12 and 14 can come for $35 as long as they are with an adult. Email me to get that coupon code.
ASL World is today!!! I've actually never been on a panel before...I got super nervous about it last night when it hit me! I'll be okay...I'm sure I will see familiar faces in the crowd. That always helps calm my nerves. If you're interested in attending, it's at Front Range Community College from 2:45 - 6pm. The panel is from 5 - 6pm. There will be four Deaf people on the panel answering questions about our backgrounds and business ventures.

If you have never attended an ASL baking class before and want to see if it's something you'd enjoy, I have a free 30 minute mug cake class coming up on May 30th from 2 - 2:30 pm MT. We are making Stawberry Shortcake in a Mug. Sign up form is on my website!
Some miscellaneous news. We have one more virtual class in June before our break in July. We are making a recipe from a family friend -- Zucchini Bread! I remember eating this as a kid at a church potluck for the first time. I had no idea there was zucchini in it. I ate three slices and when I asked for the recipe and I saw the name of it....I was shocked! I'm pretty sure I made it at least twice with my mom. My interpreters and I will be getting together soon to chat about August - December classes. I am also hoping to find a venue for our sugar cookie making/decorating class. If you have something you'd like to learn how to make please don't hesitate to tell me! Either email [email protected] OR simply reply to this email.
