The Countdown Begins!

Deaf Festival is almost here! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This email will be short and sweet, as I'm in the middle of chaos in my kitchen. I did the last of my ingredient shopping this afternoon, and I have a feeling Walmart will be seeing me again on Friday because I am quite certain I don't have enough butter. I always underestimate how much butter I need. Oh well.

In case you need a reason to come, I will be selling Oreo Blondies, Coffee Brownies, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Blondies, Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake, and two gluten-free options: Mint Oreo and Butterscotch. Besides filling up on deliciousness, there will be an ASL slam and a Baby Slam during the event. As far as I can tell, the event will be held outdoors, so don't forget your sunscreen if you tend to turn into a tomato easily.

Oh, and I will have free stickers created by a friend of mine, Sierra! Come on out and support two Deaf schools and local Deaf owned businesses on April 25th at Rocky Mountain Deaf School!

Last weekend's anniversary party was so much fun! We laughed, danced, and mixed our hearts out! Thank you for being part of the sassy baker crew for the last three years. Here is to year 4!

FYI, these Lemonade Cupcakes are the BOMB! I think they have just been added to my favorite list...which is already long.

Friendly reminder, there are only 4 tickets left for our in person ASL baking class on May 2nd! Grab them before they are gone!

Baking is just chemistry, but with better smells and fewer explosions… unless you forget the timer.

Happy Baking!

Deaf Events > Hearing Events
If you have a choice between going to a regular event (maybe one that isn't interpreted) vs a Deaf event. Which one would you choose? If it's interpreted, then that would be a harder decision. BUT I'd rather spend time with my Deafies than random hearing people. On that note, there are so many events coming up, it's insane. Yes, it's concert season AND festival season, so that's probably why.  ...

Summer Is For Trying New Recipes!
Guess what?! I made macarons again and this time they came out better! Loooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkk! Still need to work on my pipping skills and need to remember NOT to put the entire batter in one pipping bag. Live and learn, right! I used a cream cheese filling. A friend of mine, who is also a Deaf baker, recomended I try her white chocolate ganache next time. OOOOHHHHH! Can't wait! I a...
