Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar Success!
Thank you to those who came to our first (I think we should make this event annual) Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar workshop! We had a blast! I was worried I wouldn't have enough ingredients/options, but I brought more than enough! I got fresh fruit from 5280 Produce in northern Denver, Andes mints, Oreos, graham crackers, and a variety of sprinkles. Check out the pictures from the event below!

If I were to host another Build Your Own Cheesecake Jar workshop, would you come? At this point, I am thinking if I do, it will be in March. Stay tuned!
Our next ASL baking class is virtual on Saturday August 29th from 2 - 3:30 pm. This is a no bake recipe. You will need room in your freezer for this but it's only an 8 by 8 square pan so you don't need to make a ton of room. We are making Peanut Butter Chocolate Squares! And if you're like me and don't like peanut butter or you are allergic, you can make these with any kind of nut butter. I will be making mine with sunflower butter though I might change my mind and use almond butter. We'll see what I am in the mood for.

Still looking at kitchens to possibly hold one more in person ASL baking class in October. Will see if we can make it happen! If not, we will make cinnamon rolls next year!
Bake it with Sass will be in Bake Fest AGAIN this year. October 3rd, mark your calendars! This is one of my favorite events. This is hosted by Rebel Bread and I have been a part of this event since its inaguaration in 2024. Haven't won yet but there is always next year! There are over 50 bakers across so many categories giving you a chance to taste their baked goods. All you have to do is buy tasting tickets. Hope to see you there!
Just 1 more day to take our survey! This will help me figure out how to improve my classes and subscription packages. If you're looking for something in particular or secretly wish I did something during my class, but you don't tell me, I probably won't give you what you're looking for. If you fill out this survey, you will be automatically entered into a raffle to win either a virtual or in-person class of your choice! I will choose the winner on Friday August 7th. You can also respond to this email if you'd rather.
Another video in the series, "Things I Wish Hearing People Would Stop Doing!" This one is for teachers/admin in mainstream schools. I grew up mainstreamed and many of my teachers made fun of me or ignored my requests. Looking back I wish I had someone to help advocate for me. I did have my audiologist in elementary school, but after that I was largely on my own. My self-esteem and self-worth crumbled until college where I met others like me. I don't want anyone else to go through what I did.

I told my bread dough a joke… it didn’t laugh, but it did rise to the occasion.
Happy Baking!
