Giving Thanks
Nov 25, 2025Thanksgiving remains my favorite holiday because yes the food is delicious but also because it's the one day we are encouraged to pause and reflect. In our American society today, we are always told to hustle and buy the next cool thing. I don't want my life to consist of constantly looking for the next big thing.
This month I decided to focus on giving thanks to various people and for various things in my life that has helped me become a better woman, creative, business owner etc. I posted about what I have been thankful on my social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Feel free to follow me on those platforms to keep up to date on all things Bake it with Sass.
I do realize that the history behind Thanksgiving is traumatizing and honestly American history is extremely disturbing. However, I chose to focus on the goodness we can put on the holiday. Let's not repeat history. Let's instead chose to better ourselves and our communities by thanking those who have helped shape us into mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, loving community members that we have become.
Who I am today is only possible because of my communities and my God.
What are you thankful for?
